Inspecting bottles and vials

When processing bottles and vials a major working step is to assure that they are closed tightly. Automatic, continuous-motion, pinhole inspection machines detect capillary cracks, crazing or microscopically tiny pinholes, as well as empty or grossly inadequately filled bottles or insufficient glass wall thickness.

  • Fully automatic leak inspection machines

The filled and closed vials are either loaded automatically by the machine upstream or manually onto the infeed belt of the pinhole inspector. The neck, body and base of the vials are inspected using high voltage. Rejects are sorted out into a separate tray and approved containers either continue to a machine downstream or are loaded into trays for removal.
